To their credit, the way you can highlight side objectives by pressing the right stick is a welcome upgrade over mere icons on a map. Even without that, you can spot ominous clouds or glowing purple rooftops with the bare eye signaling activities are there to be found. This isn’t a world that beckons exploration or discovery, necessarily, but it is a step in the right direction toward creating greater immersion and mercifully less time spent looking at the map screen. Where the first game starred Peter Parker, and its spin-off starred Miles, this one has both.

Not only that, but during open-world gameplay, players will be able to freely swap between Peter Parker and Miles Morales at the touch of a button, akin to GTA 5’s character-swapping feature. It’s been three years since the first Spidey game by the studio launched to critical acclaim, and the universe has only been growing since. To encourage PC gamers to sign in to a PSN account, Sony is offering bonus incentives in its PC ports, with Spider-Man 2 letting players unlock the Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit and Miles Morales 2099 Suit early.

With the new interactive elements like super slingshots and wind tunnels that act as jet streams, Spider-Man has never been faster in the air. Customers report mixed experiences with the game’s condition, with one noting it arrived in perfect shape while another mentions receiving a broken gaming case. Customers find the game to be good value for money, with one mentioning it’s worth it for little superheroes. They face new challenges, both internally and externally, as they navigate the balance between personal and superhero lives. Miles Morales, also bitten by a radioactive spider, follows in the footsteps of Peter Parker.

With users able to pre-download the digital game prior to its release, they will be able to play the game as soon as it’s available for play in the PlayStation store. For fans of the first game, or Spider-Man, or action games in general, Spider-Man 2 is an easy recommendation. There are about five dozen teasers and easter eggs by the end so I’m sure we’re in for more, whether that’s another Miles-sized game or another sequel down the road. But for now, yes, this is all the Spider-action you need for a good long while.

Meanwhile, the 12-core Intel Core i K or AMD Ryzen X (or better) will be sufficient for the gaming CPU, with the RAM requirement still set at 16GB. With these specs, set your graphics preset to high, but set your ray tracing settings to very high. With these specs, you’ll be able to hit 1440p at 60fps using high graphics settings.

The rhythm of precision dodges, the new perfect parries (so you’re not only swerving and striking now), and acrobatic finishers are hugely satisfying, as is chasing high-hit combos to keep the fight as stylish as possible. The movement is smooth and the hits are crunching, like some sort of peanut butter hybrid that every one of your foes is allergic to. Every bone in their body may be broken and every organ punctured, but of course, they’ll somehow live to commit crimes again.

After Peter purged the symbiote from his body and it bonded to Eddie, Venom possessed all of Spider-Man’s abilities, but with greater physical capacity. To make him even more deadly, Eddie became aware of Peter’s secret identity from the symbiote’s time bonded to Spider-Man, and he gained the ability to nullify Spider-Man’s heightened senses.
